Asbestos registers and management plans

Strict national legislation now requires that “Persons with Control” of workplaces must keep an accurate register of all asbestos-containing materials.

This asbestos register includes information on the identification of asbestos materials, risk assessments and appropriate control measures.

You are now required to create a comprehensive Asbestos Management Plan if you are a:

  • Premises owner or occupier
  • Employer
  • Manager
  • Other representative with responsibility for workplace repairs or alterations
