Cookie Policy
This cookie policy is part of Airsafe’s privacy policy. It explains the cookies and browser storage used on www.airsafe.net.au and how you can control them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores on your device. Browser storage works in a similar way. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company’s service are third-party cookies.
Cookies and browser storage we use
Analytics
- PostHog sets one first-party cookie named ph_<project key>_posthog. It lasts for up to 12 months. PostHog also uses browser storage, which stays until you clear it. The random ID contains no name but can be linked to an enquiry, so we treat the analytics information as personal information. PostHog measures pages viewed, clicks on quote, contact and sample-submission buttons, phone and email link clicks, quote form starts, accepted quote requests and sample submissions. No form contents are sent to PostHog.
- Google Analytics sets its own cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code. We use it through Google Tag Manager to measure website traffic, including phone-link clicks and completed quote forms. Google’s advertising features are turned off.
Security and performance
- Cloudflare may set short-lived security cookies to protect the website and its forms from bots and attacks.
- New Relic keeps a session ID in browser storage to monitor the website’s speed and errors.
- Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookie, named _GRECAPTCHA, when you use the contact or sample form. It is used only to tell people from bots.
Your choices
- The analytics notice stores a note in your browser that you have closed it, so it does not appear again.
We do not use advertising or targeting cookies.
How you can control or opt out of cookies
You can turn off PostHog analytics using the “Turn off analytics” link in our website notice or privacy policy. PostHog also honours your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Turning off PostHog does not turn off Google Analytics. For Google Analytics, you can use Google’s opt-out browser add-on:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Opting out of analytics does not stop you using the website or submitting a form.
You can also refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can change this or ask to be told when a site sets a cookie. If you use more than one device, you need to change the settings on each. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of websites working, including the spam check on our forms.
